Discussion
Caliman brothers found this natural hybrid a long time ago. They knew when they collected the plant it was a hybrid. Recently they have become more active in growing orchids and the orchid community and shared their discovery. This plant is a clear example of a natural hybrid between Cattleya harrisoniana Batem. ex Lindl. and Cattleya schofieldiana Rchb. f., expressing phenotypic qualities one would expect from both parents species. The two species are found intermingle in the Ibiraçu region, where the hybrid was found.
